Top Film And Tourism Industry Starwalts Honoured At International Film Business Awards

Hyderabad, India: Held in association with Indywood Film Carnival, International Film Business Awards (IFBA) concluded successfully at Hyderabad. The event was scheduled from Dec 3 – 4, 2018 at HITEX exhibition Centre along South Asia’s biggest B2B film and trade exhibition, Indywood Film Market

International Film Business Awards are conducted in concurrence with Indywood Film Canival, the ultimate film fiesta in the world. IFBA honors the commitment, passion and excellence of distinct film personalities and recognises the who’s who of the film industry including film marketers, distributors, sales agents, production houses and exhibitors who equally contribute to the success of a film.

This year IFBA awards were given away in 4 different categories – Exhibitors Awards, Film Distributors Awards, Film Production Awards and Film Tourism Awards.

     

The winners of IFBA Film Production awards included Sanju (Highest Grossing Movie of the year – Hindi); Rangasthalam (Highest Grossing Movie of the year – Telugu); Sarkar (Highest Grossing Movie of the year – Tamil); Kayamkulam Kochunni (Highest Grossing Movie of the year – Malayalam); Tagaru (Highest Grossing Movie of the year – Kannada); Bhaijaan Elo Re (Highest Grossing Movie of the year – Bengali); Baban (Highest Grossing Movie of the year – Marathi) and Carry On Jatta 2 (Highest Grossing Movie of the year – Punjabi) and Yashraj Films was honored with the Producers of the year award. Special Honour for the Best Innovation was presented to Orange County Sdn Bhd and Special Recognition for the Outstanding Contribution towards Indian Cinema was presented to Mr. P Vasu.

IFBA Film Exhibitors awards were presented to New Vasanth Cinemas (Best Single Screen – C.P Berar); APR Cinemas (Best Single Screen – Bihar); Rupasi (Best Single Screen – West Bengal Circuit); Chandan Cinema (Best Single Screen  – Bombay Circuit); Orient Cinemas (Best Single Screen – East Punjab); Novelty Cinema (Best Single Screen  – Delhi /NCR/ UP Region); Rajmandir (Best Single Screen – Rajasthan); Maharaja Cinema (Best Single Screen – Odisha); EOS Cinemas, Shahdol (Best Single Screen – Central India); Triveni Cinema (Best Single Screen – Mysore Region); Jeeva Rukmani Cinemas (Best Single Screen – Tamil Nadu); Priyadarshini Cinema (Best Single Screen – Kerala); Asian Cinemas (Best Single Screen – Nizam); PVR (Best National Chain); INOX Insignia (Highest Luxury Standards); Cinepolis (Best Systems Driven Chain)

IFBA Film Distribution awards were presented to Dhanlaxmi Pictures (Best Distributor- C.P Berar); Kushagra Arts (Best Distributor – Bihar); SVF Entertainment (Best Distributor – West Bengal); PVR Pictures (Best Distributor – Bombay Circuit); Pen Marudhar &  Jaspal Dhingra (Best Distributor – East Punjab); Foxstar Studios (Best Distributor – Delhi /NCR/ UP Region); Jai Pictures (Best Distributor- Rajasthan); Rajshri Productions (Best Distributor – Odisha); Akshar Enterprises (Best Distributor – Central India); Bahar Enterprise (Best Distributor – Mysore Region); SPI Cinemas (Best Distributor – Tamil Nadu); E4 Entertainment (Best Distributor – Kerala); Asian Enterprises (Best Distributor – Nizam) and Yashraj Films (Best National Distributor – Corporate). Mr. Balkrishna Shroff was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award in the Field of Film Distribution during the ceremony.  A special award was also bestowed upon Mr. Vijay Soni, VPS Communication for his dedicated support to Indian cinema by distributing Indian movies to UK and Mauritius.

IFBA Film Tourism awards were presented to Thailand (Most Popular Filming Destination of the Year); Spain (Aesthetic Filming location of the Year); Singapore (Affordable Filming Destination of the Year); Azerbaijan (Emerging Filming Destination of the Year); Fiji (Best Rebates and Subsidy Schemes); Maharashtra (Most Popular Filming Destination of the Year – India); Madhya Pradesh (Most Film Friendly State – India ); Telangana (Most Diversified Filming Destination of the Year – India ) and Uttar Pradesh (Best Rebates and Subsidy Schemes – India)
